How often should I pump my septic tank?
A typical 1,000 to 1,500 gallon tank on a normal household needs pumping roughly every three to five years. If you have a garbage disposal or a full house putting a lot through the system, plan on the sooner end of that range.
What are the signs my septic tank is full?
Watch for slow drains throughout the house, gurgling toilets, an odor in the yard, wet or unusually bright green grass over the drain field, and backups at the lowest fixture. Any of these means it is time to call.
How much does a septic pump-out cost?
